TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM

TPMS

  • ACCURATE

  • RELIABLE

  • VALUE

TMS products are accurate and reliable. The TMS company design and manufacture their own products. With over twenty years of research and development this technology has been proven in many different applications around the world including in the military, rail transit, construction and mining industries.

We are unique to offer internal and externally fitted sensors or a combination of both, enabling quick installation for a fleet conversion.

Tire Monitoring Innovation

A Simple Way to Protect Your Investment

Internal Sensors

Internal sensors are designed, developed and produced by our specialised electronics company with many years of field experience. Unlike smaller domestic sensors, these sensors come with a large built-in antenna to deliver reliable signals and a power source to last several years.

The sensors come with a robust yet flexible fixing system which is vulcanised to the interior of the tire. The unique coupling system allows the sensor to be strongly attached to the tire yet is flexible enough to absorb vibrations and shocks. Internal sensors can work reliably in high-temperature environments and avoid the risk of accidental damage or removal.

Handheld Reader/Programmer

This handheld portable unit allows a technician to program the sensors during initial set-up. During this procedure, vehcile ID, tire ID and fitted position can be set to to the sensor ID.

During convenient times, the reader can be used to obtain tire pressures and temperatures as the technician walks around the vehicle.

Using rechargeable batteries, the reader can always be on standby to take to the site or workshop and obtain pressure readings quickly, whilst also saving the data for analysis later.

In-Cab Display and Alert

This display can be positioned anywhere in the drivers' cabin. The operator can visually check pressures on this display without needing to physically interfere with wheel valves and use valuable time.

The pressure thresholds are set using the handheld device. If these thresholds are exceeded, above or below, the in-cab display will make an audible warning sound to alert the driver. In this situation, the driver can stop immediately and request instructions or return to workshops for immediate service intervention. The objective is to save the value of the tire and to avoid a  breakdown in the pit.

Signal Receiver

At the heart of this system is the receiver, which receives the signal from the sensors and passes it to the in-cab display. The receiver comes with the ability to connect up to four antennae to guarantee reliable signal pickup.

This receiver is a robust unit, designed for extreme conditions with the electronics encased in a protective gel. The sealed unit is waterproof, dustproof and can withstand vibration and shocks.

External Sensors

External sensors are designed, developed and produced by our specialised electronics company with many years of field experience. Unlike smaller domestic sensors, these sensors come with a large built-in antenna to deliver reliable signals and a power source to last several years.

The sensor comes with a large bore dual valve coupling which allows the pressure to be validated manually without the need to remove the sensor. External sensors are useful to start a TPMS program quickly without the need to remove the tire or in conditions where the risk of sensor damage is low.

Analysis Software

This system is supplied with an analysis software that allows stored data to be downloaded and analysed to check the general spread of results as well as identifying specific alert conditions.

This analysis can also be used to identify cycles or parts of cycles which create heat due to speed or load conditions. This can support decisions to modify recommendations or work activities and reduce the risk of downtime and contribute to long tire life.
